Fabric vs. Muscles

So, you know how I was struggling with lusting after my new fabric vs. lusting after my Friday Hunk? Well, I figured it out...Why choose?!?

If I can imagine rolling around on the bed with my beautiful new fabric, why should I imagine doing it alone? Surely Ryan Reynolds can appreciate an exquisite hand-dyed opalescent linen!

 Have a lovely weekend, Everyone!

Fabrics pix now loaded

I have uploaded scans of all my beautiful new Polstitches fabbies into my Webshots album. You can find them under...

wait for it...

Here's a peek at my two absolute favorites:
Rustic Rhubarb Opal Cashel
Big Bang Jobelan

I hope you love them as much as I do!

Is it wrong???

Squeeeeeeee! It's here!

As some of you may know, I placed a large order (my first) with Polstitches, thanks to a decent tax refund. DH and I each got a little mad money. It was supposed to last a year. I gave most of it to Jo for fabric.

I think I frightened my mailwoman today when she saw my nose pressed against the window. I ran out to greet her, jumping up and down, possibly drooling and foaming at the mouth. When I came back in with my box, squealing and babbling, Boy-child told me I was being a little strange but funny. If he only knew...

The rumor has been that Polstitches fabrics have a heavenly smell. It's true! It's quite pleasant, though I can't figure out exactly what it is. (Jo's trade secret.) Possibly some lavender mixed with fairy dust?

I know today is Hunky Friday. When I come down off my fabric high, perhaps I'll post a hunk. But, for now, I'm only able to lust over fabric. Muscles will have to wait.

When I've had a chance to scan them all, I will post pix of all of them in my Webshots album. I'll let you know when they are up.

Every piece of fabric is divine. I'm completely twitterpated! You know me, convicted fabric fondler.

So, my question...
I have this incredible urge to spread the fabrics out on the bed and just roll around in them.

Is it wrong???

My kitty likes to TUSAL

I couldn't pick just one picture for my TUSAL post this month.

Honeybee was so cute checking out my jar that I just have to share the whole moment!

I'm losing sleep!

I am really worried. The last Mira RR piece that I mailed to Australia a month ago has not arrived yet!

Remember this one?

Well, it seems to be lost in the Ether. Packages that are sent via First-Class mail cannot be tracked once they leave the US. I'm in a bit of a panic, and I'm very upset about this. I don't like feeling so out of control of a situation. It's a similar feeling to when my UFO RR piece was stolen.

Please keep your fingers crossed that the package shows up eventually!

I, I, I...and I don't mean me.

Nancy at the Victorian Motto Sampler Shoppe has done it again! She is working on an alphabet series, and has just finished "I." It has the most adorable sentiment. "I Will Always Kiss You Goodnight." I think it is the sweetest thing, and I would love to make it for the Boy-Child, whose name begins with I. I wonder if I could fit just a few more I's into this post. I think I can!!  hee hee Maybe I will win a copy of Nancy's I. I certainly hope so!

There's really no need for words here.

Your fabric stashes

Hiya Stitchers!

I'm very excited! I get to make a substantial purchase of Polstitches fabric in the next few days. I've been waiting quite a while for this, and it is my very first Polstitches. My wish list is huge and I have to narrow it down. I'd love if you would share with me your favorite Polstitches fabrics. (I'd like to hear about other favorites, too.) If you have some pictures of your fabbys, either stitched on or not, please share links to your pix. I'm sure the other stashaholics out there would love the temptation. (Am I being an enabler?)

It's Friday already!

It only just occurred to me that it's Hunky Friday! I almost missed it. Dreadful!

Today, for your viewing pleasure, I present to you Mr. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

Need I say more?

I had to include one with his great smile, too.

March WIPocalypse

I guess I haven't done too badly this month. Lots and lots of RR stitching.

I finished my bands on Linda's Band Sampler RR. The French knots came out very pretty. The bands are from the Lily of the Valley Sampler from Drawn Thread.

I also completed my square in Erin's Mirabilia RR. She selected sections of flowers/roses from different Mira patterns. I chose the bouquet from Spring Queen. The colors are very vibrant.

I finally finished the boxes on my Joan Elliott RR and managed to stitch my fairy, as well. She is The Fairy and The Dragon from Joan's Fairy Enchantment book. I love her!! She was wonderful to stitch and she has such a pretty face!

After I was done mailing out all my RRs and was waiting to receive the next batch, TOT Fairy got a little love from me. With the way things are going, that may be the only non-RR stitching I get done anytime soon. sigh

Now for a bit of a sneak peek...I don't know if Johanna looks at my blog, but I've started my Pixie section on her Mira RR. I don't want to say which pixie it is. I want her to be surprised. So, if you know which little fairy I'm stitching, PLEASE DON'T TELL! tee hee

Don't forget to tune in tomorrow for Hunky Friday!

Yippee, It's Friday!

It's time for StitchyWoman's second hunky installment.

Now, Ladies, if you are the kind that is easily offended by a little bit of manly bare-chestedness, then please, don't move down any farther. I wouldn't want to cause any unwanted palpitations here.

I should warn you, I am a chest and arm lover. That may end up being a recurring theme.

Seriously, don't yell at me for posting bare man skin with out warning you...

Last chance to turn back...

Here we go!

This is Manu Bennett. He plays Crixus on the Starz show Spartacus. Grrrrrr!

Here's a more tame picture.

Are any of you naughty ladies watching Spartacus? It's definitely not for the faint of heart! Lots of blood, violence, and nudity. (and manly men) I am brokenhearted, however. Dish Network was giving us Starz for free for a year, I think. The promo period is over and I am missing the new season. It's killing me! I hope the DVDs come out quickly.

Well, I hope you enjoyed Hunky Friday this week as much as I did! See you next time.
